The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

As wife to a husband with Type 1 diabetes and the mother of a daughter with Type 1 diabetes the fight to find a cure for diabetes is paramount to Bijen. Bijen has stated that "My mission is to help find a cure in my daughter's lifetime." With this goal in mind Bijen has worked with The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. This partnership began in 2008 when Bijen designed and donated an iconic diamond cuff that was auction to help raise funds for diabetes research. Today Bijen continues her charitable work by donating her time and additional jewelry designs in an effort to raise awareness and funds for diabetes research.

About JDRF

JDRF’s mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. The chapter operates under the direction of a volunteer board of directors, working with professional staff and volunteers.
